- Hi! I have an A2000 with an IVS Vector accelerator with 4MB ram (4 X 1 meg
- simms). I would like to replace these simms with 4 X 4 meg simms.
- Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about simms, so I have a couple of
- questions:
-
- 1. Do I need "parity" simms? I don't think so, based on my examination of
- the current simms (30 pin, 8 chips on each simm).
-
- 2. The manual (which is not a whole lot of help) states that I MUST use 60
- ns simms. Is this correct? In my area (Vancouver, BC) lots of retailers
- sell 70 ns simms, but I have to order 60 ns simms (which is a pain).
-
- Has anyone else out there gone through this? Any help would be greatly
- appreciated!
-
- Thanks in advance!
- Dave
